Shoes Like Pottery
Introducing Shoes Like Pottery from Kurume, Japan. Founded in 1873, the company dates back to the Meiji era when it first started making tabi, traditional Japanese footwear. With a history steeped in producing quality footwear, Shoes Like Pottery sneakers are hand-sewn by skilled craftsmen using the highest quality fabrics available. The finishing process requires the shoes to be fired in a kiln ( a process similar to the way pottery is fired) thus giving the brand its unique name. This vulcanising process - 'Ka-Ryu', creates a soft, flexible and long-lasting sole.
