This is the closest thing we've found to a sambal chilli paste we like. Created by a Sydney-based nutritionist, Daisy Plant Kitchen's Chilli Garlic Hot Sauce is great for when you need a chilli paste to stir through a dish without strong flavours interferring with your other ingredients or just to have on the side for added kick.
Using no more than 6 ingredients like high oleic sunflower oil ( which contains a very high level of monounsaturated fatty acids and a low level of saturates if you're watching your fat intact) and organic gluten free tamari, this chilli paste is perfect for those seeking a healthier chilli choice.
Clean flavours and a healthier alternative doesn't mean this lacks in flavour. In fact, we've found this particular chilli paste to have lifted a number of our favourite South East Asian dishes - we've added this to fried rice, congee, stir fried noodles and asian greens and have served this BBQ pork and roast duck.
